AP court issues warrant on Dhoni

A non-bailable warrant has been issued against Indian Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni by court in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. It is related to the previous case of morphed image which was quashed by the Apex court.

To those who are unaware of the controversy, the Indian Captain Dhoni’s face was morphed as Lord Vishnu on the cover of a business magazine. It was meant to show him as God of endorsement but in a national that is as religious sensitive as ours it led to a uproar.

A case was filed by Karnataka Court but it was quashed when Dhoni approached Supreme Court. This is a new petition on him and if he fails to attend on February 25, an arrest warrant will be issued. Dhoni is currently in Australia for new tour.
