Andhra Pradesh Going to Have a New Governor?

Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu may have new governors very soon. It is emerging that Veteran BJP leader and Karnataka legislative council chairman DH Shankaramurthy may be made governor for either of the states. Kannada Political Circles are abuzz with this news saying that Amit Shah made such promise to Shankaramurthy.

ESL Narasimhan is the governor of both the Telugu States after the Erst While Andhra Pradesh is bifurcated. A final decision is likely to be taken in September when the term of Rosaiah in Tamil Nadu ends on August 31. Narasimhan may continue to be Telangana governor until his term ends.

Rosaiah and Narasimhan both were appointed during UPA regime. It is surprising that BJP continued both of them even after making several changes in various states. Narasimhan was continued because he is very familiar to Telugu politics and the issues. Rosaiah, a hardcore Congressman was continued because he enjoys the support of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
