According to the latest updates, AP Road Transport Department has decided to impose a staggering fine of the said amount if a rider is found wearing an earphone or a headphone.
This comes in view of the increasing road accidents and mishaps in the state and this is intended to curb the same.
It has become increasingly common for youth to travel on bikes with earphones. Any negligence here could potentially lead to fatal consequences. The AP government has now taken this unexpected move in an attempt to curb the same.
At the same time, there is also a talk on social media that the government should first be focused on putting up good roads in AP which is also another main reason for accidents, instead of looking to impose such hefty fines on commoners.
This rule could come to effect in August, it seems. An official word on the same is awaited for now though.
