AP Secretariat Becoming Sakshi Branch Office

Ever since YSR Congress came to Power, Jagan Mohan Reddy owned Sakshi media has become the Government Mouth-piece for obvious reasons. Sakshi trumpeting Government News and glorifying some of the very ordinary decisions are very much expected but what is not expected of Jagan is the way how he is accommodating Sakshi Employees in the Secretariat.

There is an allegation on Social Media that Andhra Pradesh Secretariat is slowly becoming Sakshi Branch Office. All the Senior-level employees are appointed in one position or the other and their salaries are being paid from the State Exchequers. Some of the senior staff are drawing salaries and amenities in Lakhs.

Devulapalli Amar who is with Sakshi for a long time even hosts a program on the Channel. He is being paid around 3.82 Lakhs and that is more than what the Top-most bureaucrat gets in the Government. He is appointed as the National Adviser in Inter-State Media Affairs. Another Editor, Rama Chandra Murthy is appointed as Advisor.

He is also expected to draw Salary in Lakhs (G.O. of Salary and allowances yet to release). This seems to be a ploy to decrease the burden on Sakshi and as well as rewarding for their services with Government positions. TDP is alleging that this is a blatant misuse of the Chief Minister’s Office.
