AP – a TRP Material to National Channels

Everyone will have a different view of the Bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. But the truth is that the bifurcation bill was passed in the most undemocratic manner by passing the bill switching off the Live Telecast of Lok Sabha proceedings that day.

After that, several promises which were made to Andhra Pradesh were not honored by the Union Government using the loopholes of the faulty reorganization act prepared by the previous Congress government. Special Status, Tax Exemptions, Bridging Revenue Deficit, Special Railway Zone, Assistance to Capital and all others were not addressed.

But no National Channel gave minimum coverage to the deficit-ridden state. But then, if we observe for the last couple of days, National Channels have given wide coverage to JC Diwakar Reddy issue and now IYR issue which indicates they are only after TRPs.

National Channels always have this habit of looking down the problems of South India. The States here are only TRP material and these channels will do nothing to help any South Indian State including Andhra Pradesh in the real issues.
