JC Family has joined Telugu Desam Party just before the 2014 elections and their presence has helped TDP in Anantapur district. When the entire Rayalaseema is towards YSR Congress, Anantapur gave a huge majority to TDP and JC Family played a crucial role in that.

Chandrababu Naidu also gave the family a lot of prominence. Even though they are given one MLA and one MP ticket, Chandrababu gave another MLC seat to JC’s son-in-law, Deepak Reddy. But then, Deepak Reddy getting arrested in Land Scam and now JC’s ruckus at Vishakapatnam Airport has become a headache to TDP.
At the same time, YSR Congress is sharpening knives on JC Family for his outrageous comments. That leaves JC Family no chance to rethink about their political future. But then, Political analysts say that JC Family has good will in their constituency and these controversies will not affect their political future.
It has to be seen if Chandrababu continue supporting JC family. Chandrababu who is known to be a disciplined leader will obviously have tough time to cope up with their tantrums. But then, their presence is important for the party’s prospects in Anantapur
