In a rare instance of unity, all the elected members of the AP State Legislature will vote for Ram Nath Kovind and all the elected members of Telangana State Legislature barring Congress will be voting to the NDA’s Presidential Candidate.

Besides the Telugu Desam and BJP, the Opposition YSR Congress comprising 174 MLAs, is supporting the NDA nominee. This is a record of sort and has not happened in any other state. All the elected MPs from Lok Sabha will also be voting in favour of Kovind.
Barring the Congress members in the Rajya Sabha, the remaining nine members of the TDP and YSR Congress in the RS will also vote for him. In Telangana, except for 13 MLAs of Congress, Seven from MIM and One from CPM, all the MLAs will support the NDA nominee.
