Another Big Shock Loading for KTR?

Former SIB chief Prabhakar Rao got temporary relief in the phone tapping case. The Supreme Court has given anticipatory bail to Rao.

In the case that created quite a stir in Telangana, Prabhakar Rao has got some respite. The Supreme Court has allowed for passport to Rao, so that he can return to India.

But the caveat here is the Court asked Prabhakar Rao to return to India in three days. It also directed Prabhakar Rao to cooperate during the interrogation.

The jury also put in a clause that Prabhakar Rao must give an undertaking saying he will return to India in three days and cooperate during the interrogation.

The Supreme Court said that it will discuss about granting anticipatory bail in such cases.

A few days back, Prabhakar Rao approached the Telangana High Court for bail. He had said that he will return to India if he is given anticipatory bail. The High Court rejected the plea.

Rao then approached the Supreme Court. The Apex Court heard the case today and gave anticipatory bail saying he must return to India. It is known that the US government denied Prabhakar Rao asylum as a political refugee.

Meanwhile, the Nampally Court ordered that Rao be available before June 20. The police also stuck notices to this affect on the walls of Prabhakar Rao’s house. Now, the investigating authority will have the power to seize the properties of Rao.

The ruling Congress has been accusing the BJP of shielding KCR, KTR in the phone tapping case. They say the BRS stayed away from MLC polls to get protection.




With return of Prabhakar Rao, things could heat up for KCR, KTR.
