In the midst of uncertainties regarding securing a return ticket from Satyavedu, sitting MLA Koneti Adimoolam and her son Suman met with Minister Peddireddy on Saturday. Expressing their faith in him, both the father and son displayed humility by falling at Peddireddy’s feet.

Photos of the MLA and his son meeting Peddireddy have gone viral on social media, causing distress among educated individuals in the Dalit communities due to the perceived display of subservience.
The humble demeanor of the MLA and his son, standing before the minister with folded hands and seemingly touching his feet, has drawn criticism, particularly from leaders of the upper castes who view it as a move for political expediency. On another note, the wife of a police CI from the Puthalapattu area has also emerged as a candidate seeking a ticket.
Party sources suggest that she attempted to secure a ticket in the last election, and although it was nearly finalized, she withdrew at the last moment. Peddireddy is a key political figure in dominating Chittoor district politically.
Given that there are three SC reserved Assembly segments – Gudur, Sullurpet, and Satyavedu – falling under the Tirupati Parliament purview, all sitting YSRCP MLAs and new aspirants are striving to gain the favor of Peddireddy.
