Another honour killing has taken place in Chittoor’s Maseedu Mitta. Yasmeen Banu married a Hindu boy against her parents’ wishes.
A few days back, she was called home based on a lie. The family said her father was ill and called Yasmeen home to visit him.

But after she went home, Yasmeen was murdered by her family. Banu’s husband Sai Tej complained against her family to the police.
Yasmeen Banu married Sai Tej belonging to Putalapattu mandal, three months back. They were seeing each other for the past 4 years. They got married on February 9, 2025, in Nellore.

Following that, on February 13, they approached Tirupati’s Muthyala Reddypalle police for protection. The police called Yasmeen Banu’s parents, gave them counseling and sent them.
But the parents of Yasmeen Banu were in touch with her. They requested Sai Tej to send Yasmeen over as her father was unwell. On Sunday morning, at 11 am, Sai Tej drove Yasmeen to Chittoor. From there, her brother came to pick her.

After that Yasmeen died in her house creating a huge buzz. Sai Tej lodged a complaint with the police saying that Yasmeen’s parents murdered her. Following the complaint, Chittoor Two Town police took the body for post mortem, filed a case and are investigating the matter.
