
The ACB has revealed that ex Chilakuripeta MLA and ex minister Vidadala Rajini had threatened the owners of Sri Lakshmibalaji Stone Crushers in Yadlapadu, Palnadu district, to shell out Rs 5 crore. If the amount was not given, Rajini threatened to get their business shut and even went to the extent of saying she will get them killed.
One of the partners of the Crushers, N Chalapathi Rao, was called to Rajini’s office and was told about the money to be given. Her PA Ramakrishna threatened of dire consequences if the money is not given.

Ten days after this, RVEO at the time, Palle Jashua raided the Stone Crushers and put pressure on them to give the money. Jashua said he will put a case on the quarry and impose a fine of Rs 50 crore.
The owners of the Stone Crushers had no option but to part with Rs 2 crore, which was given to Vidadala Rajini and Rs 10 lakh each for her brother-in-law Gopi and Jashua. Right now, Gopi is in remand.

The ACB has submitted its report in a special court. It was found that Jashua did not follow formal procedure and went ahead with the raids along with mines and revenue officials.
He did not submit a report to the vigilance department. The raid was not mentioned anywhere. The officials who participated in the raid revealed they were not aware of what was happening.

While Rajini wanted to get Sri Lakshmibalaji Stone Crushers closed, the assistant director of mines refused to do so. Then, she got Jashua to do the job for her.
The owners of the Stone Crushers went to Gopi’s house in Purushottapatnam and gave Rs 2 crore. They conveyed the same to Rajini from Gopi’s phone. Later they gave Rs 10 lakh each to Jashua and Gopi at their residences.
The money was given on April 4, 2021.
