The 10-acre farmhouse belonging to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at Masjid Banda near the Old Bombay Highway in Serilingampally assembly constituency has become a contentious issue between both the Telugu states.
Naidu has planned to use this farm house as his temporary residence while his Jubilee Hills home is being renovated. There was a proposal put forth for the development of the roads and street lights leading to this farm house as it will also benefit Residents of Rajarajeswari Colony and Raghavendra Colony just nearby.
The standing committee of GHMC cleared the proposal but TRS government interfered in the middle and stalled the construction by GHMC stating that it is not the responsibility of the Telangana government to construct road for the AP chief minister. Naidu just to evade an unnecessary controversy took up construction of the road and other amenities leading to his farmhouse on his own just few days ago.
