AP Farmer Turns 1 Lakh Into 15 Lakh With Tomatoes

Usually, the farming community is on the receiving end of obnoxious prices. They tend to be on the losing side for most agricultural transactions.

But this time around, tomato farmers in Andhra Pradesh are seeing unheard prices for their produced.

Like for instance, a tomato farmer in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh saw a staggering Rs 15 lakh return for his Rs 1 lakh worth of tomato produce.

The farmer sold his produce at an auction and he ended up getting Rs 15 lakh for the quantity of tomato that he would usually get Rs 1 lakh.

The prices of tomatoes have hit Rs 200 per kilo already. The prices are only going up now. A few farmers are even getting Rs 320 for their produce.

This viral tale of an AP farmer is trending on the internet now and the same is the case with many tomato farmers across the nation now.
