Andhra Pradesh government had set a deadline of April 15th for the farmers of Capital notified villages to surrender their lands. The government had already started leveling of the lands belonging to those farmers who already received the cheques for first year compensation. There were demands from many including Pawan Kalyan to take the lands in phases according to requirement, so that all the farmers need not give up their lands at once and can continue farming till the last minute.
However government for some reason is keen to take the lands all at a time. CRDA is verifying the land records and the agreement letters submitted by farmers and is issuing the cheques. The land ownership certificates of the promised developed land will be given by the end of the year.
It is known that the government through CRDA had pooled in more than 32000 acres from the farmers. There are some 1000 acres left in the land pooling, government may go in for land acquisition or announce those areas as green belt.
