AP plans ahead for Summer Power shortage!

Andhra Pradesh government is equipping itself to face the power shortage that usually occurs in Summer so as its 24X7 power supply is not disturbed. The government is already in talks with NTPC to buy 600 MW of power and also wants to get power from Jhajhar unit in Haryana.

Andhra Pradesh should be in comfortable position if Krishnapatnam project produces power to optimum level but the government is also planning for the unexpected tripping in power units. The government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to go for swapping arrangement with the consumers of gas in the western India so as to make gas available for its power plants in Summer.

The department of energy is monitoring the Power situation of the state on a daily basis. But at the same time making alternate arrangements as the government do not want any complacency or overconfidence to mar the 24X7 Power supply.
