The Telangana government’s plan of shifting Chest Hospital may hit a road block after Andhra Pradesh government planning to raise an objection regarding the shifting of common facility. AP government is of the opinion that shifting the hospital located at Erragadda to Vikarabad in Ranga Reddy district is a clear violation of the AP Reorganization Act.
According to the Act, Hyderabad is the joint capital of the two states for ten years and hence, should continue to provide facilities available with it to the people of both AP and Telangana. Now shifting of the Chest hospital outside Hyderabad will mean depriving it of Andhra People use.
The Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will be in Delhi on February 8th to attend a meeting of the National Institution for Transforming India (Niti) Aayog and will bring this issue to the notice of Prime Minister Modi.
