Appreciable Decision by Telangana Government

Telangana Government is keen on linking the salaries of its employees to their taking care of their elderly parents. This is to ensure that the employees take proper care of their parents and pay maintenance to them. There are even complaints from the parents that they are thrown out of their homes.

The government is planning to bring a rule to deduct the salary of such employees and pay it to the neglected parents every month. The government will consult the Employees’ Unions before taking the decision. Recently, Assam government brought such legislation.

Telangana government is mulling a scheme to pay a monthly pension of Rs 1000 to single women from poorer sections, from April 1st. In the process, it was brought to the notice of the Chief Minister about some employees neglecting their parents.
