Andhra Pradesh government has completed the land pooling process and pooled in more than 32000 acres in the capital notified areas. The government will now have to clarify any objection letters given by reluctant farmers and will finally go for land acquisition if necessary.
The remaining exercise is expected to complete smoothly and the state government is busy finalizing the rest of the details of the capital. It is reliably learnt that the state government is considering ‘Amaravati’ as the name of the state capital.
It is reliably learnt that Chandrababu Naidu has mentioned the name to Singapore team which is preparing the Master plan and sought their opinion. It is also said that the Chief Minister also mentioned the name in one more meeting with the officials. The Singapore Team is expected to submit the Master Plan in June. A final decision on the name will be taken then itself.
