On Tuesday morning, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley called up Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and informed about the 3000 Crore special package to the state. In this 3000 Crore, 1000 Crore for Capital, 1000 Crore for Polavaram and another 1000 Crore for covering up the revenue deficit.
It is said that Jaitley infact called up Chandrababu Naidu for the support to Land Acquisition Bill in Lok Sabha. Chandrababu clarified that TDP will face heat from the people if they support the centre which meted injustice to the state in recent budget. So the centre all of sudden announced this package.
Jaitley promised that Center will further grant funds to capital once they are given the detailed project report (DPR). The official announcement of this package will come up today or after the Prime Minister comes back from foreign tour. They say there will be some special incentives as well to the state in this announcement.
