Alipiri False Propaganda: Notices to Bhumana

Bhumana Karunakar Reddy Alipiri case

Former TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy has received police notices over allegations of false propaganda. Alipiri police issued the notices after his remarks about the neglect of a statue near Alipiri went viral, sparking anger among devotees of Lord Balaji.

Bhumana was asked to appear before the Tirupathi DSP office on Thursday. However, he informed police that he was busy and later agreed to attend on September 23. His viral comments reportedly hurt religious sentiments, leading to a formal complaint.

Assistant EO Govindaraju approached the police regarding the matter. Following this, a case was registered and notices were served to Bhumana. The controversy has triggered discussions across social media, with many criticising the spread of misleading claims.

Meanwhile, TTD chairman BR Naidu said that fake propaganda against the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams will not be tolerated. After a Board meeting, he warned that strict action would be taken against those attempting to damage TTD’s reputation.
