Telangana government had unleashed a vicious campaign about the opportunities in the newest state and its TS-iPass system, which was installed for speedier clearances. The government had sent delegations across the globe to promote the opportunities in the state but only to get disappointed.
As many as 40 companies with the biggest coming up with 458 Crore investment have come to the state but most of them are start-ups and smaller units or those who have sought for expansion of earlier units.
These 40 companies are expected to bring a total investment of around Rs 1,600 crore and many of the units will come up in HMDA limits. Nearly 7,000 people would get employment directly or indirectly which is very less by the standards. However officials say that even big companies are impressed but they are lobbying at the highest political and administrative level for better incentives.
