Bomb threats have created tension in Andhra Pradesh. Days after the arrest of suspected sleeper terrorists, threats have now targeted CM Chandrababu Naidu, former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy’s houses, and the Tirupati temple.
Emails from a group calling itself “Holy Islamic Friday Blasts” claimed high-intensity bomb attacks were being planned across the state. Police are on high alert, combing through all the mentioned locations and investigating any suspicious activity.
Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to visit Tirupati on October 6. Police and bomb squads are inspecting his entire route, checking multiple locations in Tirupati and Srikalahasti. Security teams are also combing the helipad near Tirupati Agricultural University.
The threatening emails were sent in the early morning hours. Police have forwarded the details to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Fake mails were reported in the past as well, and combing operations so far have not found anything concrete.
