Boycotting Assembly: Bad Decision By TDP

Reports are that Telugu Desam Party is contemplating to boycott the upcoming budget session of the assembly. In the last session, the ruling party has insulted Chandrababu Naidu‘s wife and he boycotted the house for the rest of the session taking a vow he would return only as the Chief Minister.

The rest of the MLAs may also follow Naidu. But this maybe an absolute blunder. With bad financial condition, Viveka’s murder case, and adverse judgment in three capitals issue, the ruling party is on back foot.

This is the right time to corner the Government and push it into defense. If at all, YSR Congress still tries to bulldoze, it will only expose the party in these situations. So, it is not to let go of this opportunity. But TDP is wasting this opportunity.

Earlier NT Ramarao also took a similar vow of not coming to the house until he is reelected as the Chief Minister. But then, rest of the TDP MLAs attended the sessions.
