
BRS leader and MLA Jagadeesh Reddy has been suspended for the rest of the Budget session by Telangana Speaker Prasad Kumar. After taking a poll in the Assembly, the Speaker suspended Jagadeesh Reddy.
Today, Jagadeesh Reddy said addressing the Speaker that the House was everyone’s and not his alone. He also said that Speaker was chosen by them. This created a flutter among the Assembly members and the ruling party members demanded stern action against Jagadeesh Reddy.

The Speaker asked the suspended member to be escorted outside. Prior to this a heated debate took place in the House regarding Reddy’s comments. Legislative Affairs Minister Sridhar Babu said that one did not have the right to speak against the Speaker within the House and outside. Not according due respect to the Speaker was disturbing, said the Minister. He said disciplinary action must be taken against the member.
The act must be taken to the notice of ethics committee. Till then, the member has to be suspended from the present Budget session, said Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka.

Though the opposition and ruling party engaged in war of words for a while, eventually they discussed the issues on agenda.
