Minister Turns Headache For Ruling Congress

BRS leaders meet at KTR residence

On Monday morning, BRS leaders met at BRS working president KTR’s house to discuss the future agenda of the party. This follows KTR’s suspension from the Assembly earlier.

Harish Rao, Talasani, Sabita Indra Reddy and other BRS MLAs met at KTR’s house and discussed the party’s agenda for the coming days. They decided to visit Vattinagulapalli and inspect the situation there first-hand.

Meanwhile, the government sent in huge police force to KTR’s house in Nanakramguda. It is interesting to note that a meeting was held at KTR’s residence instead of KCR’s Erravelli farmhouse as was the norm earlier.

As for the ruling Congress, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has become a big headache. A land owner held a press conference blaming Ponguleti’s son Harsha of threatening him to part with lands that his family held since 1969. Opposition BRS now wants an inquiry into Ponguleti and son’s various businesses mainly focused around realty.

There are allegations around the Minister and his son threatening and coercing people to part with land. The BRS has also accused the Ponguleti family-owned Raghava Constructions to have links with illegal mining. Though the Minister publicly said the allegations are baseless, BRS wants a house committee probe and Ponguleti’s dismissal.
