The speculations of Vijaya Sai Reddy joining the BJP have surfaced again.
The latest reports say Sai Reddy will join the Saffron Party in June and will contest the Rajya Sabha by-elections.

It is the same seat he vacated by resignation, and three and a half years’ term is still remaining in it.
If this turns out to be true, it is a big shame for the Telugu Desam Party.

Sai Reddy’s seat was the MLA’s Quota Rajya Sabha seat. That means he should have the support of the TDP MLAs to get elected.
Even if he gets unopposed, it is still that he is winning with the support of the TDP MLAs.

It is not clear how the TDP leadership will react to such a scenario, but the TDP cadre will be very disappointed.
This is a huge risk for the TDP. There are chances that Sai Reddy will liaise for Jagan by staying in the BJP.
After being nominated to the Rajya Sabha, whenever Jagan is in trouble in one way or the other, we used to see Sai Reddy land in Delhi with Shawls, Tirupati Prasadam, and idols of Lord Venkateswara Swamy.
He has been successful in bringing the Central Government to the side of Jagan during the 2019 elections. The CBI and ED cases on Jagan have also slowed down significantly after coming to power. Jagan even stopped attending the court hearings.
Allowing Sai Reddy to the BJP and the Rajya Sabha means breeding trouble.
TDP is the major partner in the alliance in Andhra Pradesh. The NDA Government in Delhi is alive because of the support of the TDP MPs.
The BJP can not take decisions that will harm TDP’s interests.
This is nothing but giving a lifeline to Jagan Mohan Reddy.
If Chandrababu Naidu gives up to the pressure of the BJP, he is making a big mistake.
On the other hand, Sai Reddy is yet to respond to these speculations.
While resigning for the Rajya Sabha, he announced that he would retire from politics and concentrate on Agriculture for the remainder of his life.
He did not respond to these speculations till now.
