Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu who was successful in bringing Hero Motocorp to the truncated state taking on all the well equipped neighbouring states, is on to his next target. Naidu’s men are in talks with TVS group, India’s third largest two-wheeler maker TVS Motors to set up one of its largest forging units close to Krishnapatnam port.
TVS will be investing 250 Crore in the first phase and will be providing employment for 500 people. They will be expanding their facility in phases. They are expected to submit a proposal of their requirements and investment plans to the government very soon.
APIIC is reportedly planning to give them 100 acres of land near Naidupeta in Nellore district. Naidu’s government had promised them best of the incentives, free land, faster approvals and uninterrupted power supply , apart from hand-holding till the unit takes off. We will have to see if Naidu pulls off one more blinder here.
