Capital Committee bought lands in Donakonda?

Siva Rama Krishnan Committee Report on the Andhra Pradesh Capital is creating a storm in political circles. While the ruling Telugu Desam Party is batting for a capital between Vijayawada and Guntur, Siva Rama Krishnan report favoured Donakonda as the capital. However political allegations are targeted on the committee now. While few leaders allege that Siva Rama Krishnan is trying to suppress Andhra Pradesh’s capital to benefit his home state, Tamil Nadu.

Some others alleged that Siva Rama Krishnan Committee members bought huge parcels of lands in Donakonda and are recommending it to be the capital for their investments. There are also rumours that many Delhi based IASes have already bought lands in Donakonda. It is said that Siva Rama Krishnan committee had already leaked the report well in advance to Congress leaders like Jairam Ramesh and other senior officials and IASes in Delhi. Experts also did not spare the Siva Rama Krishnan committee. They say the committee’s report is totally inconclusive even after spending 60 Crore from the national exchequer.
