A case has been registered under various sections of BNS against Ravindranath Reddy, the maternal uncle of Jagan, who visited Tirumala on Sunday. After completing his darshan, he violated temple rules by speaking about politics right outside Ananda Nilayam. TTD had recently issued strict guidelines prohibiting political discussions inside the temple complex and banning the making of reels. Despite this, Ravindranath Reddy commented on political developments in Pulivendula and criticised the alliance government in power.
He alleged that the alliance was encouraging cross-village voting and placing polling booths far away to discourage locals from participating. He also claimed that alliance leaders were trying to intimidate the people of Pulivendula. Reddy further said that crop yields had reduced under the alliance rule and accused the government of failing to fulfil its Super Six promises. The video of his remarks quickly went viral on social media, prompting devotees to demand his arrest.
With growing public pressure, the TTD vigilance department took note of the matter. Based on a complaint from TTD vigilance officials, Tirumala One Town police registered a case against Ravindranath Reddy. TTD had earlier made it clear that any violation of its guidelines would result in police action.
