CBI To Use Central Forces To Arrest Avinash Reddy?

Kadapa is rumbling with the anticipation of YS Avinash Reddy’s arrest in the YS Viveka murder case. He has skipped the CBI investigation multiple times already and the CBI officials have now reached Kadapa.

The CBI officials met with Kadapa SP earlier today and discussed Avinash’s arrest. Incidentally, they have met the SP again now, seeking clearance and necessary police support for Avinash’s arrest.

However, the SP is yet to convey his affirmative decision to the CBI. He is said to have conveyed to the CBI officials that he will act based on the DGP’s order.

Meanwhile, there are new reports that the CBI officials who are currently in Kadapa could be using the central forces’ support to Avinash today.

As per the latest media reports, a CRPF battalion is on the way to Kurnool. This is a result of the order from the Hyderabad zone officials. The battalion will reach Kurnool by 6 PM. There are reports that the CBI could take Avinash into custody with help from the CRPF troops.

YCP followers have been flocking the Viswabharathi Hospital where Avinash’s mother is currently being treated. He too is at the hospital now. The police have arranged barricades to control the crowds.

If Avinash is indeed arrested today with support from the central forces, this will come as a huge setback to the YCP with the elections less than a year from now.
