During yesterday’s meeting with TDP President Chandrababu Naidu, Jena Sena President Pawan Kalyan presented the Assembly segments that Janasena wishes to contest as part of the alliance.
According to sources, Pawan Kalyan aims to contest in the Assembly seat where Prajaraajyam won in the 2009 election.
In the 2009 election, PRP secured victory in the Nellore Urban Assembly constituency over Congress. Now, Janasena desires to contest for the same seat, but TDP is not inclined to sacrifice Nellore Urban. In the 2019 election, Pongur Narayana lost to Anil Kumar Yadav with a slim majority.
After a year, Narayana has re-entered active politics, and CBN has confirmed Nellore Urban for Narayana once again. Even though Nellore Urban is on the list, reportedly CBN has denied a ticket to JS. TDP has finalized seven out of ten Assembly segments in Nellore district after extensive discussions within the party.
When Anam expressed interest in contesting from Venkatagiri again, TDP confirmed Anam’s candidature in Athmakur. Initially, Somireddy’s daughter-in-law Sruthi’s name was considered for Sarvepalli, but CBN finalized Somireddy’s name once again. TDP is awaiting the YSRCP candidate for the Nellore Parliament seat to confirm their own candidate.
