Center Planning to Limit Number of ATMs

In a bid to support Cashless society, Central Government is also planning to limit the number of ATM Machines across the state. Reports are emerging that the government already gave oral instructions to ensure ATM Machines do not have enough Cash to discourage using them.

Reports are emerging that many of the existing ATMs will be closed down while the daily withdrawal limit of rest of the ATMs will be reduced to 40000 Per Day. But this will be a pain for the people since banks are imposing huge transaction charges for branch transactions.

But then, this will be a dangerous step since the government is doing nothing to promote digital payments in the rural side. People there can not catch up with these new practices due to rampant illiteracy and lack of proper awareness.
