Center yet to look in to AP Capital proposal file

arun-jaitely_AP-capitalA day ahead of the Union Budget i.e., on Friday, Union Finance Ministry passed on a cruel joke on Andhra Pradesh’s proposed state capital. The officials have informed that they have not received any concrete proposals for the capital city construction and that they can not make a provision for funds in the budget.

However the state government officials confirmed that they have sent the proposals long ago and it is found that the file is struck with the lower-level officials and has not reached the secretary-level. This is a serious case of Red Tap-ism on the Union Finance Ministry.

On the other side, the Union Finance Ministry reportedly assured the state government that they will be making some allocations for the capital in the budget and will make further allocations in the supplementary budget after they study the proposals. It is a common observation that Center purposefully ignored the Capital proposal file so as to delay giving funds to the state.
