Land acquisition will undoubtedly be the most difficult task for the capital construction in Andhra Pradesh for the Chandra Babu Naidu led Telugu Desam government. Already a committee is working on the land pooling formula for acquiring lands from farmers and private parties. In the concept, farmers will be given a share in the developed land in the lieu of their lands. This concept is not new but there instances in the past where allotting shares to farmers got delayed and they eventually ended up in losses.
As a result there are apprehensions for the farmers to share their lands with the government. However Chandra Babu Naidu does not want it to happen and is planning to put a deadline for allotting shares to the farmers. If for any reason, government fails to handover their shares in time, the income from the developed lands is estimated and interest should be paid for the farmers from the deadline date. Government is of the opinion that this method will bring in confidence to the private parties to share their lands.
