Chandrababu Naidu’s Challenge to Jagan Mohan Reddy in Assembly

The Price of Onions once again rocked the Andhra Pradesh Assembly this morning. The Ruling Party tried to escape from the issue by alleging that Onions are being sold at Rs 200 per Kg at Heritage Fresh stores. The Opposition Leader, Chandrababu Naidu, the other day, gave an explanation to the house on the issue the other day.

“Heritage Fresh Business is sold to Future Retail, three years ago. We only own Heritage Foods now which do not deal with Onions or any Grocery for that matter. The Chief Minister and his team should learn the difference between Heritage Fresh and Heritage Foods,” Chandrababu Naidu explained.

Even then, YSR Congress repeatedly mentioned the prices of Onions in Heritage Fresh today as well. Vexed with this, Chandrababu hurled a Challenge in the Assembly today. “Heritage is no longer ours. If the Government is able to prove otherwise, I will resign to my MLA post. If not, will Jagan resign to his Chief Minister Post?,” Chandrababu said in the assembly.

However, the Ruling Party did not accept the challenge.
