TDP led by Chandrababu Naidu to confirm tickets for various segments in the state, possibly for the upcoming General Elections. TDP has released a press note regarding the appointment of new in-charges in Sattenapalli and GD Nellore, and Lokesh, a TDP leader, has confirmed tickets for Bhupesh Reddy in Jammalamadugu and Praveen Reddy in Proddatur.
There was an expectation among both TDP and Jana Sena party members that an alliance would be formed between the two parties for the upcoming elections in the state. However, CBN announced Kanna as the in-charge for the Sattenapalli segment. But Jana Sena expected Sattenapalli as part of the alliance.
There was a war of words taking place between Ambati, a Minister from YSRCP and Pawan Kalyan, the leader of Jana Sena on compensation payment to the sewage worker’s family.
Jana Sena cadre expressed some disappointment on social media due to the loss of the Sattenapalli seat and raised doubts about whether Pawan Kalyan was aware of this decision. Pawan Kalyan has repeatedly mentioned that he does not want to split the opposition votes, but TDP has not discussed an alliance, even during Mahanadu, their annual event.
Two days ago, Lokesh stated that two leaders would decide on the alliance. There are also reports suggesting that Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu have already discussed which seats each party should contest and the candidates announcement of TDP is happening as per that understanding.
