Chandrababu Naidu Fibernet Crisis: Officials vs. GV Reddy

Fibernet Chairman, GV Reddy is trying to cleanse the corporation that is plundered in the previous regime.

GV Reddy terminated three higher officials of the organization for intentionally delaying the execution of orders, which is crippling the profit-making organization and pushed it toward closure.

The officials removed from service include Chief Technology Officer Pappu Satya Rama Bharadwaja, Business Operations Head Gandhamsetti Suresh, and Procurement Assistant Manager Shashank Haidar Khan.

Reddy terminated 410 employees who were hired without proper orders, resulting in a loss of over Rs 1 crore in salaries for December, January, and February. Despite his orders to terminate the employees, the letters were not issued.

Reddy also criticized Managing Director (MD) K Dinesh Kumar for negligence in issuing orders regarding employee terminations, vendor connections, and administrative sanctions. He was also criticized for keeping him dark about the fine of Rs 377 crore for failure to file GST returns.

Everyone is lauding GV Reddy’s efforts to work to bring the organization to its feet and for acting against the officials who are struck in the YSR Congress regime and not cooperating with the new government.

At this juncture, something unusual happened.

Yuvaraj, IAS Special Chief Secretary to Government, Infrastructure & Investment Department (FAC), and Fibernet MD K Dinesh Kumar met Minister Janardhan Reddy and complained about GV Reddy.

They reportedly told the Minister that GV Reddy took charge only in November and it is too early for him to understand the department. They also denied the allegations he made. They also informed the GST Notice was issued during the Election Results time when the Files were frozen.

If the files were frozen in June, what were the employees doing until February? It is more than eight months. If it is not inefficiency, then, what is?

The Minister issued a notice to GV Reddy to furnish the proof of his allegations.

In the first place, why is the Minister involved in the Corporation when the Chairman is on it? What is the need to issue a notice when someone who is facing the allegations has complained?

Tomorrow, the officials will complain to the CM about the Minister. And if the CM serves a notice to the Minister, where will this end?

If the Chairman who took charge in November can not get a grip in three months, how will the Minister get a grip on the issue out of the blue?

The IAS Association is also expected to meet Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today or tomorrow over the same issue.

It is a big mistake if the Chief Minister entertains the association.

It will crush the morale of Reddy and very few who are thinking of cleaning the system. This will embolden the officials who are still working for the YSR Congress.

Only a few days ago, we saw the bills cleared for the contractors of Jagan’s Vizag Palace. The IAS Association or any association for that matter can not say they are not at wrong.

When you are to choose your own men and the officials, it is always better to choose the former.

These are the officials who could not give a single new connection so far in this tenure, what is that they are explaining to the Minister or the Chief Minister?

On the top of everything, Fibernet is the Brainchild of Chandrababu Naidu. It was a revolutionary scheme when announced. It is in a pitiable state right now. If it is left to the mercy of the officials, the already debt-ridden organization will go bankrupt soon.
