Chandrababu Naidu: Vision 2020 to Tragedy 2020

A few years ago, the then Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu along with the then President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam penned a document called Vision 2020. It is basically what the state or the nation needs to become by the year 2020. They have penned various parameters in which AP/India have to progress.

We are into 2020 and Abdul Kalam is no more with us. And the other architect of Vision 2020, Chandrababu Naidu was forced to sit on the steps of the Assembly Building which he got constructed a couple of years ago. Naidu was pleading the Young Chief Minister with folded hands not to take a hasty decision about the three Capitals.

Chandrababu’s Vision 2020 was mocked by the Opposition and Andhra Pradesh is heading towards one of the dangerous experiments ever taken up in the Independent History. Tragedy is that those in Power takes inspiration from failed models across the globe and experiment it on AP.

In to his 70s, Naidu may have very little to lose at that age. Let us hope that this experiment will not leave the people repenting.
