CM Chandrababu Naidu said in a meet in GD Nellore that YSRCP members must not get any help as it is like giving milk to a snake.
This has given rise to political debate where Babu is being labeled partisan by YSRCP members.
In fact, CM Chandrababu making a public statement has created a flutter and a fear of sorts among YSRCP cadre as they feel they will now be weeded out of various welfare schemes being doled out by the state government.
This is probably the first time that Chandrababu made such comments and those at the grassroots level are worried that they will be divided on party lines when it comes to welfare schemes.
Just recently, the AP government has announced Talliki Vandanam and Rythu Bharosa. Speaking in Legislative Council, K Atchannaidu made it clear that Babu’s words were being twisted for political mileage.
Atchannaidu made it clear that TDP’s political rivalry was till elections. Now, they were running a democratic government, he pointed out.
This party, the NDA, does not consider colour, taste, smell or rich people. It is devoted to the development of poor people. We are not concerned about the party, caste or religion, the only criterion that we are concerned about those who are underprivileged.
Atchannaidu challenged the YSRCP members to bring to the notice of NDA government if any deserving poor person does not get welfare schemes.
In the past five years, we had seen arrests, home arrests and false cases. But this NDA government is a democratic government. For us, poor people are the only criterion.
Chandrababu Naidu is a democratic leader who is letting the YSRCP leaders go about freely.
