Government leaders seem to be struggling to accept the granting of bail to TDP President Chandrababu Naidu. CM Jagan has publicly declared that Chandrababu will spend the rest of his life in jail, given his involvement in a series of cases. YSRCP leaders have openly stated that CBN should spend a minimum of nine years behind bars.
Chandrababu Naidu was granted interim bail on account of his health, and as a result, the government had to declare that they would not arrest him in the recent liquor case. This scenario contrasts with when Jagan was imprisoned for 16 months in cases related to illegal activities, and his release did not evoke significant public response. A few pre-arranged individuals welcomed Jagan at Charlapalli Jail upon his release.
However, when Chandrababu Naidu was granted bail on Tuesday, it triggered celebrations among Telugu Desam supporters across the state. Even those not affiliated with the party breathed a sigh of relief. Chandrababu received warm welcomes all the way from Rajahmundry to Vijayawada.
Internally, YSRCP leaders discussed the fact that YS Jagan had inadvertently given Chandrababu Naidu a significant amount of publicity by arresting him. Public protests erupted on the streets when CBN was apprehended by the CBCID on September 9th, and now he is being welcomed with grand celebrations in Rajahmundry. People are eagerly awaiting to see Chandrababu Naidu on the streets, even late at night.
Visuals and photos on social media are going viral, intensifying frustration among the YSRCP cadre towards Jagan. It’s worth noting that Chandrababu received an enthusiastic response after his release, covering 168 kilometers, which is more than Jagan’s 3,648-kilometer walk during his time as an opposition leader.
