Chandrababu orders AP to end manual files

Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu is historically famous for nurturing the bureaucratic culture in the administrative department. He prefers to have senior bureaucrats who can take care of their duties while running the administration effectively.

While Chandrababu might be extremely nurturing of this bureaucratic culture, he is enquiry, dominant and aggressive about the same.

Today at the collectors conference, Chief minister Chandrababu was particularly furious with certain top officials who did not attend the conclave and had also been evading their primary duties.

The chief minister pointed out that every single file processing must be completely online as there is no scope for off-line proceedings from now on. He said he would make it a point to digitalise the whole procedure and indicated that offline proceeding would be illegal in a few days.

This is a conscious decision made by the chief minister to ensure that every single procedure is to be tracked by the hierarchy so that there is no lethargy or slow moment henceforth.

“If you can’t sit 12 hours straight for such a their meeting, then what is the point of holding these positions? I specifically asked you guys not to bring mobile phones into this meeting in order to keep you all focused. There will be a severe action if I do not see progress from the concerned heads of departments.” Babu warned.

This is the most aggressive that Chandrababu has been with the IAS administration in Andhra Pradesh after the formation of the government in 2024.

This hands on approach from the chief minister is good news for the administration as the active participation of the CM would constitute better working conditions for the entire administrative wing.
