Chandrababu risking TDP for Amaravati?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu has all sorts of trouble. While T-TDP is staring at the danger of extinction, there are enough problems in AP as well ranging mostly due to financial issues and a dangerous opposition. However TDP’s 2019 prospects will largely depend on Amaravati, the upcoming capital of AP.

Chandrababu strategically brought it to Krishna and Guntur districts, the strong holds of TDP besides have location benefit. However this is creating new headache for the government now. 28 mandals of both the districts are going in to the mandatory Green Zone and it will bring down the land rates there for obvious reasons.

Own party leaders are worried that people in these mandals will turn against the government and they warning Chandrababu of severe consequences politically if that happens. But having got up to here, Naidu has no option of going back. The government is now trying to pacify the agitating people in these mandals.
