Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu may have taken a clue from his Telangana counterpart. The state is planning to launch the land regularization scheme very soon like Telangana. In the wake of the state getting a new capital, government wants to give one final chance for regularization of illegal construction. Once the regularization is done, government will act tough on illegal constructions going further.
However Government will confine this scheme only for buildings now (BRS – Buildings Regularization Scheme). Layouts (LRS – Layouts Regularization Scheme) will not regularized as the government may have to regularize the illegal layouts in capital region.
BRS was implemented for the last time in 2007 during the United State. From then there is a long demand to bring the scheme back once again. Government is expecting huge income from this scheme which will aide the ailing economy as well.
