Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu seem to be going in welfare way in this term. After introducing 5 schemes on a single day on Friday, he announced one more today. Chandrababu is planning to bring back the famous Cheera, Dhovathi scheme of Legend NTR which aims to provide garments to the poor at half the rates. This was announced at a public meeting in Angaram, East Godavari district.
This scheme will help the poor as well as the weavers who are struggling to make both ends meet in this era of ready made garments. Under this scheme, government will buy garments directly from weavers and offer them to poor at subsidized rates. Both the parties will be happy in the process. Chandrababu also reiterated that his government is committed to the promise loan waiver to the weavers. It is already known that the government has decided to offer 1000 rupees pension to eligible weavers.
