Last Week, the Central government had announced special incentives to industries that are to be setup in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This happened in the evening and that afternoon, Minister for Commerce and industry, Nirmala Sitharaman appealed Telugu voters in Delhi to vote for BJP despite delaying the Special Status which means the minister herself is not aware of the announcement that will come out that evening.
While some say it is an example of Modi’s micromanagement on all the ministries, political analysts in Andhra Pradesh say it is because Narendra Modi suspects Niramala Sitharaman as spy of Chandrababu in his own cabinet. She is in fact wife of Parakala Prabhakar, the media adviser to Andhra Pradesh government. Chandrababu sacrificed a Rajya Sabha seat and nominated her to the upper house.
Reports say Parakala and Chandrababu were able to extract important information about various decisions of the center regarding the state. So, Modi is trying to keep things particularly related to AP away from her.
