Chelli Ki Malli Pelli: Second Stone For Bhogapuram Airport

Jagan Mohan Reddy is touring Vishakapatnam today. His itinerary has two important programs. Jagan will be laying stones for Bhogapuram International Airport and Adani Data Center.

Bhogapuram International Airport foundation stone was laid in 2018 during Chandrababu Naidu’s regime. Around 50% land acquisition was completed but the then Opposition fanned protests by farmers and also created legal hurdles.

Jagan alleged irregularities in land acquisition but did not return an acre of land till date. He also alleged irregularities in awarding airport contract to the GMR group. But the stone ceremony is happening with the same GMR group.

The foundation stone was also laid for Adani Data Center. This is also a project that came during Chandrababu Naidu’s regime. After coming to power, Jagan almost drove away the project. Now he is trying to claim credit with the foundation stone.

Interestingly, Jagan did not do anything for four years and was hurriedly trying Photo-ops with elections drawing closer. This is like the famous Chelli Ki Pelli Jaragali Malli Malli.
