Chiranjeevi – Jagan Meeting: More Politics Than Films?

Megastar Chiranjeevi has met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy the other day and discussed about the ongoing controversy between the Government and the industry. After the meeting, he announced that the issue will be resolved very soon.

But then, a report in Times of India suggests that the meeting is more political than about films. The report said Jagan has offered a Rajya Sabha seat to Chiranjeevi. This is to negate any impact of a possible alliance between TDP and Janasena.

There have been hints about the parties looking to join hands to defeat YSR Congress. Jagan as such is facing reasonable anti-incumbency which would only increase as the election draws near. A united opposition will be a deadly combination in such times.

So, Jagan wants to bring in a divide between the influential Kapu community by offering a Rajya Sabha seat. But accepting the offer means going against his own brother for Chiranjeevi.
