Chandrababu Naidu was known as reform man and concentrated more on urban development in his previous regimes. For this reason, Naidu was too popular with middle class and upper middle class segment. However, the dissent among rural population and drought conditions restricted him to opposition for a decade. However, Naidu seem to have realized the mistake this time.

This term Chandrababu is concentrating more on the rural and agrarian segment. He executed Loan Waiver despite being in severe financial crisis.
The Chief Minister is concentrating on finishing pending projects in the state to battle drought especially in Rayalaseema. He already finished Thotapalli project and is on the verge of completion of Pattiseema.
Naidu realized that linking of Krishna and Godavari will work as a charm in solving the drought and so executed Pattiseema with out waiting for Center to finish Polavaram.
Handrineeva, Gandikota, Telugu Ganga, Galeru Nagari and Veligonda are on Naidu’s priority list. These are all small projects which can be completed with dedication and not so much of money. If at all Babu manages to complete these projects, he will receive huge mandate from rural side for the next elections.
