Come to Telangana but Be Ready to Praise Our Govt

Telangana Irrigation Minister Harish Rao made a warning oozing arrogance to Congress Vice President, Rahul Gandhi who is holding a huge public meeting in the state on June 1st, a day before the State Formation Day. Harish went on to say he will welcome Rahul Gandhi but on a condition.

Harish urged Rahul Gandhi to talk about the good things that the TRS government had done and warned that the party would not spare him if spoke only about the negatives. “Our good things are being praised by many other states including neighboring Karnataka that is ruled by the Congress. You must be ready to talk something about our good deeds also,” Harish Rao said.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi would be the star speaker at the meeting to be held at Ambedkar Stadium in Sangareddy. The venue holds a special place for Congress as former prime minister Indira Gandhi addressed a public meeting there in December 1979 and went on to lead her party to power in the 1980 general elections.
