Congress Makes A New Offer To Sharmila

The stage is firmly set for the merger of Sharmila’s short-term Telangana-based outfit, YSRTP in National political outfit, Congress. There are reports that Sharmila could be merging her party in Congress by the end of August.

Coming to the topic, a new development suggests that Congress has made a new offer to Sharmila with regard to her constituency for the coming election.

Sharmila is firm on getting Paleru MLA ticket due to the Reddy community precipitation in this constituency. She is hopeful of bagging this seat.

But as for Congress, the party high command wants Sharmila to contest from Secunderabad constituency, it seems. This is due to the strong presence of the Christian community in the constituency. Also, there’s a fair chunk of settlers voters here, so this could further help Sharmila.

The ball is well in Sharmila’s court now to decide on her constituency. The chances are that Congress could oblige to her request without much resistance as she is merging her party in Congress without many terms and conditions and the party could be looking to return the favour.
